“It is said we are what we eat and drink. We feed our souls from what we hear, see, or experience. From what we fill ourselves with, we pour into our own lives and into our relationships with others. Wisdom provides nutrients that bring life into our relationships. Once we are able to distinguish wisdom from folly, we have to decide what voice we are going to follow, who we are going to hear, and from what body we are going to feed ourselves and our family. Will it be from wisdom, or will it be from folly? Whichever we decide for, we will need to be connected to that body to receive its nutrients, and turn and return to it as soon as possible if we get disconnected. We feed from wisdom to become wise. To hear from wisdom continually one needs to be connected to it.” (pg. 29, Chapter 4, Train Them to Hear, by Tori Pen)
